Vista - Can xp pro x64 be upgraded to Vista x64 (5728)?

Well, unfortunately that's not true. Inserted the Vista x64 DVD while xp
pro x64 was running and after entering everything found out upgrade was
not available.
I upgraded both of my RC1 x32 to 5784 with no problems.

Well, that seems odd, but with Betas anything is possible. I was under the
impression that this was possible since there were many successful,
documented upgrades of XP x64 to Beta 2 x64. Sorry for misleading you and
thanks for the correction. Perhaps this should be reported as a bug?

Don't know as the only release of xp pro x64 is oem and not retail. MS
still seems to have x64 work station development on their back burner.
Any of you MVP's out there know if vista 5728 x64 should be able to
upgrade xp pro x64?

The upgrade runs almost to completion and then does a rollback. With
consequent messiness to the boot options screen.
