Insufficient privileges

Finally - I am able to get t the point where I can post a question.

I have a program installed (am using Windows Vista). I have had problems
with the program and tried to uninstall through the Programs and Features in
the Control Panel. It seemed to partially uninstall but still shows up in
this spot. However, it won't delete and I cannot repair, change nor delete -
even using the Program disk. Says I have insufficient privileges and gives
me an error #1321. I am the administrator (it is my home computer) and I
have not had this problem with any other programs. Naturally, the program
will not open either. This particular program is Print Shop Pro Publisher
20. Broderbund has no help whatsoever. Is there any way to do a clean
uninstall and manually get rid of it?

Re: Insufficient privileges

Before I try this (editing the registry), the page you URL you sent me to is
for Windows XP and, as I said, I have Vista. Will this make a difference?

Re: Insufficient privileges

Mayby you have any other restrictions to DVD for anyone ->maybe this help you:
DVD and CD Drive - Allow or Deny Read and Write Access
GPO - Removable Storage Access (Bypass)
generally if you find these keys

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\RemovableStorageDevices

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\RemovableStorageDevices

remove them +restart

Re: Insufficient privileges

You seem to be missing the point. It is just one program I cannot uninstall
- not even through the Programs/Features - cannot change, delete nor even
repair.

You appear to be reluctant to mention the name of the program.

Right or wrong?

Re: Insufficient privileges

The program is Print Shop Pro Publisher 20 (Broderbund). I have contacted
Broderbund on more than one occasion and they keep telling me to go to their
self-help which is of absolutely NO help. They won't even give me a phone
number or email to contact. I wanted to get the newest version 23, but am
afraid that because the present one is half uninstalled and stuck there - I
may have a problem. I told them this, but they do not seem to care and I
have no idea how to fix this problem now.
