Can't see everything in new window, Can't change things!

I am running Vista Ultimate 64bit with all the current updates.

This problem started when I loaded the new NVidia drivers for my 8800GTS
graphics card.

If I right click on the screen and select personalize, then select Window
Color and Appearance, I get the window to change the windows colors. When I
select "Open Classic Appearance Properties", I get a new popup type window.
However, the information displayed is larger than the window, so I only get
to see the very top. There are no scroll bars on this window and it won't let
me drag a corner to enlarge it.
So, I can't get to any of the settings buttons to change anything.

I can provide screen shots if you need them. I just don't know how to get
them into this format.

This appears to happen in all applications that use this class/type of
windows. Examples are MS Outlook when you are setting up a new account and
trying to input the information, Symantec Ghost when you are trying to input
the path for backups.

My guess something got changed in the registry. Does anyone have an idea
what this might be? There must be a set of defaults for this type of window
somewhere.

I am reluctant to reinstall Vista as it is very time consuming, but I am
getting to the point where I am stuck with several programs. So I need my
functionality back!

Thanks in advance,

Thomas

Right click on desktop. Go to personalize - then display settings. If you
can see the slider set the screen resolution to a higher value or one that
matches the specs of your monitor.

It's also possible that you are set to too high on the Font Size (DPI). The
Tasks area of the Personalization window will let you choose a smaller
number for Font Size(DPI).
