| | Lost desktop I installed java client for media center in vista, upon reboot I get the error message. E:\Windows\System32\Config\Systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible The system cannot find the file specified. What happened? Vista RC1 build 5600 |

| | RE: Lost desktop Hi, I have a similar problem. I don’t see my wallpaper, desktop icons or the taskbar appearing. I use the task manager (ctrl+alt+del) then run(folder path) to access a folder. I only see a colored background on my desktop. A right click takes a very long time and finally stops responding. The explorer menu's(organize, view.....) doesn’t drop down either. Any help on this issue, is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mohan. |
