| | 5728 64-bit version: Why is this "unannounced"? Elsewhere in these newsgroups, a user has posted a link to download the 64-bit version of Vista build 5728. That link is still active (the file is still there as of a few minutes ago). Note, there are also some incorrect links posted that won't work. My question is this: Why hasn't Microsoft posted the link to this build of the 64-bit version? And, I suppose the related question is: Microsoft -- Do you want us to install 5728 64-bit or not? BTW, I've installed 5728 32-bit on another computer. Some nice fixes and changes, a few new bugs (which I've reported). And, I have 5600 64-bit on another machine. My question is whether to upgrade that machine or not. |

| | Re: 5728 64-bit version: Why is this "unannounced"? I Downloaded it, and it is Legit, it is indeed Microsoft's Public Download Server, and it works great. | | RE: 5728 64-bit version: Why is this "unannounced"? My guess is that they were doing the same type of release as they did with 5536. -- Tom Ziegmann Microsoft Certified Professional Windows Vista / Server Longhorn TechBeta Tester Windows Server 2003 SP2 TechBeta Tester "rblacher" wrote: > Elsewhere in these newsgroups, a user has posted a link to download the > 64-bit version of Vista build 5728.
