Disabling any wallpaper

I'm trying to simply have a black background without any wallpaper. I can
open Control Panel and navigate to "Desktop Background". But from there I
see no way to actually indicate that NO wallpaper should be used. Lot's of
stuff there for selecting and changing the wallpaper but nothing for turning
it off.

How is this done?

I don't know...maybe:

Create an all black .jpg in "Paint"
and use that as your background

No need to create anything; just use a solid background and choose black for
the color.

Re: Disabling any wallpaper

Open Accessories/Paint.

click the Fill color icon. the whole ppallette should fill with
black, which is the default color.

click File/Set as Background centered stretched.

then name it and it should be your new black destop.

let us know

Re: Disabling any wallpaper

Wow, this is crazy that one needs to actually create a black jpg to resolve
this issue. Crazy I say...

Right click on desktop
Choose Personalize
Choose Desktop Background
Choose "solid colors" from drop down "Location".
Pick black.

All done.

That was a very stupid recommendation. Several others have already
shown you the proper way.
