| | SPOOLER SUBSYSTEM APP ERROR - need help I can't print. I keep getting a message that says: Spooler SubSystem App. has closed. I restart it, and it closes again. At that point, none of my printers show as install. This came out of nowhere. We rolled back the system and that didn't help. Also reinstalled the spooler and print drivers. Dell's ultimate answer is to reinstall the operating system. What is going on here? Vista Home Premium. Up to date. Thank you. |

Problem relates specifically to printing from Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 and later using HP LaserJet 1022. |

| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Re: SPOOLER SUBSYSTEM APP ERROR - need help I had this problem some time ago and identified that ADOBE was at the root. I uninstalled ADOBE reader and installed FOXIT instead. To sort the problem I followed the instructions in the following: You cannot add a printer and you receive printer spooler error messages in Windows XP The problem recurred yesterday when somehow ADOBE got through again and downloaded the new version of Reader. Once again the above instructions sorted the problem. (It looks pretty complicated but follow the stages carefully and it is OK) |
