Vista - Vista modem to modem

Hi i dont know if this is the correct place to ask this question but any
insightr might be of help.
I am currently working in a fairly large company that uses an internal
telephone system which means that everyone can be called from anywhere using
the unique number.Is it possible for me to use two modems and connect them
to the telephone system and then set up the pc's in a specific way?

I was wondering if this could work and just wanted to get some advice before
starting.
