| | Administrator problems I am having a problem deleting a program that is causing problems. I keep getting the message that I do not have permission and must contact the administrator. Well there is no administrator it's my personal laptop. My question is how do I gain control of my computer and get rid of the administrator function since I am the only one to use the system? Thanks in advance. Andrew S. |

| | Re: Administrator problems I would make sure your logged in as 'administrator'. If your all ready logged in as administrator, try booting in safe mode and try to remove the software. How are you trying to "delete" this program? Usually you do this through Control Panel-Programs and features. if you need Admin rights to do it, UAC pops up asking for the Admin password. |

| | Re: Administrator problems Andrew Go in as Administrator when booting up. When the sign in screen comes on type in Administrator as User and leave the password field Blank Remove your program and reboot changing back the Sign in screen to what you had along with your Password. Using the computer as an Administrator is not a very good idea since you will be open for virus and malware attacks without UAC and other security suites which is disabled when using the system in that environment -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged.
