build downloaded sunday anyway when it gets to copying windows files i
instantly get the green tick then on expanding files it gets to 10% then says
error 0x80070017 so read up here abit re-downloaded vista x86 then burnt it
slowest speed 2.4x i can on to 2 different dvd disc's now this is weord on a
clean install all goes well untill copying windows files get to 20% then
freeze's with both disc's so i re-installed xp home then tryed to upgrade
instead(sick of re-installing xp lol) now it get to 66% before freezing can

Could you please provide the hardware specifications of the computer you are
trying to install Vista in? Could you also please provide punctuation?

Re: vista installation failed several times

Hi,

Still sounds like a bad burn. Make sure no AV programs are running and shut
down everything unnecessary while running the burn. When installing, make
sure BIOS antivirus detection schemes are disabled. It may also help to use
a fresh disk if you are using RW media. Have you run CRC checks on the
images and on the disks?

If you can't type any better than you have in this thread, I would think
not. Believe it or not, accuracy counts!
