| | HOw to restore files from a Vista files only backup I have been using the Vista automatic backup procedure for the last 6 months and recently had to re install the operating system. I am trying to restore the files to the original location but not getting them all back. The drive they are on is connected to the Medion MD8833 PC but externally on the top of the PC. When I try using 'restore from a backup made on this computer' I get a message that the disk containing the backup is not accessible. (Though I can navigate to the backup files manually). Presumably therefore I have to use the option 'files from a backup made on a different computer'? There is then a selection of a dozen or so different back up dates. Do I have to keep repeating the process for each of the back up dates? (or should it recognise the instruction to restore from a backup made on this computer? |
