| | Please HELP! Seagate external Back up Drive I just purchased a seagate Free Agent Go Drive 250G external drive. After over 2 hours on the fone with Seagate, they say it is a Microsoft problem. The error message is this: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Does ANYONE have a suggestion for me. otherwise, I guess I'll just return the drive. Thank you! |

If you did NOT install new software, do you see the same error when FreeAgent USB HD isn't attached? I seriously doubt SideBySide errors has anything to do with your new external HD unless you install new software that comes with the drive.
