Compressed folders

Hey folks, somwhere along the line I've lost the ability to unzip files. If
I click on a .zip file it tries to open with Internet Explorer and the
screen flashes many times before I can actually get to the "close" radio
button, or Ctl-Alt-Del to pull up the task manager. Since I don't know what
program in the windows OS that is the zip/unzipper I don't know how to
correct the problem. This anomaly happed some time ago and since I don't
work with zipped files much it hasn't bothered me. But now I must unzip.
BTW, this situation has occured on all 3 of my Vista boxes and I thought it
might have been a windows update that broke this function and was going to
be patient until MS fixed it, but NOT.
