Curser hovers and opens files

New to Vista.
When the mouse curser hovers over an icon or button, it opens the file
without me clicking the mouse.
How can I stop this happening?

Hi chas sounds like you have one of the Accesability options switched on

Check This ...

Mouse Hovering to Activate a Window




Check the status on the last item
