Need to delete files waiting to be burned.

Hello,

I was in the middle of burning files to a DVD when my computer locked up.
Now whenever I reboot my computer, I get a balloon that reads, "You have
files waiting to be burned to a disc."

When I click on the balloon, Windows Explorer opens up. It shows that I
have a file in the DVD RW Drive (E. I cannot burn or delete this file.

How do I remove this?

Thanks,
Amanda

Re: Need to delete files waiting to be burned.

right click the CD / DVD RW drive in Windows Exploder or in a My Computer
window
select properties from the popup context menu
select the recording tab
clear the check box "Enable CD recording on this drive"

Delete the links and re-enable recording.

Re: Need to delete files waiting to be burned.

Hi Mark,

I don't have that check box. The only check box I have in the recording tab
is "Automatically eject the disc after a Mastered burn."

Thanks,
Amanda

Hello Amanda,

While the tutorial is for Windows 7, it also applies to Vista for stopping this message balloon.

You have files waiting to be burned to disc - Stop Message - Windows 7 Forums

Hope this helps,
Shawn
