As always, do remember that when Microsoft announces that a product is RTM, it doesn't mean you will be able to download it right away. People who try to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 may well have teething pains that are similar to what happened when people switched over to Vista. If you have non compliant hardware it will not work in either version. I was surprised when my old scanner that doesn't work in Vista (but does with Windows XP) will work once installing VueScan. The problem is that the hardware manufacturer has not updated their drivers for the new OS, but a third party will for a price ($30 for VueScan).
