Its the kind of message that prevents you from installing or its just a nag that says that the sowtware has compatibility isseus? I'm using nero 6 which works fine on Rc1 albeit is warned me of possible compatibility issues. But Nero6 doesnt allow my burner to write at 16x which i would like ![]() |

| | Re: Nero 7.5.1.1 The message just states this version of Nero is not compatible with Vista and the installer quits. Considering the problems Nero has had with it's version 7, I am taking them at their word! ![]() Clark "Telstar" <telstar@telstar.it> wrote in message news 8loh29gc85g43m04gpi3drdu3e4r43evn@4ax.com...> On Wed, 27 Sep 2006 15:23:25 -0500, "Clark" <who@whoknows.com> wrote: > >>I tried it and got a message from Nero that is wasn't compatible with >>Vista. >> >>Clark >> >>"Brian Wescombe" <brian.wNOSPAMescombe@ntPLEASElworld.com> wrote in >>message >>news:SzxSg.69326$DB3.64031@newsfe6-gui.ntli.net... >>> Has anyone tried the new Nero update with RC1 yet? >>> >>> > > Care to elaborate? > Its the kind of message that prevents you from installing or its just > a nag that says that the sowtware has compatibility isseus? > > I'm using nero 6 which works fine on Rc1 albeit is warned me of > possible compatibility issues. | | Re: Nero 7.5.1.1 The web installer of Nero 7.5.1.1 fails trying to install, says not compatible w/ Vista. The cd version of Nero DOES work though. Mine installed perfectly and works great. I also cannot update to 7.5.1.1 from 7.0.0.0 (cd verison) "Brian Wescombe" <brian.wNOSPAMescombe@ntPLEASElworld.com> wrote in message news:SzxSg.69326$DB3.64031@newsfe6-gui.ntli.net... > Has anyone tried the new Nero update with RC1 yet? > > |

The program works but its not an improvement for me from 6.6 because it still doesnt allow me to burn 16X. I'm looking into media compatibility and pioneer support to fix this now. |

| | RE: Nero 7.5.1.1 Tried it with 32 bit and 64 bit.RC1 wouldn't accept it.Maybe the CD version does work as someone said.Unfortunately I bought the download version of Nero,so that's no use to me.I only installed RC1 because I had seen in a forum that nero and some of my other programs worked with Vista.BTW ,none of them do (not properly anyway)Anyway I find RC1 very pretty and very slow .My internet connection is also slower with RC1. I think I'll wait till RC2000 comes out it may work by then,I certainly won't consider buying it on this evidence "Brian Wescombe" wrote: > Has anyone tried the new Nero update with RC1 yet? > > > |

Too bad you failed to notice the announcement. RC2 (build 5744) runs great. Even better than XP did when it went RTM. I don't doubt that the RTM of Vista will be even better, since it will have all the debug code removed. And I don't doubt that Vista will be released to manufacturing on schedule, in November. I did try Nero with RC1. It failed to install. Even if I used XP compatibility mode, as administrator, it failed to install. Nero is going to have to get on the ball if they want to keep their hold on the Windows market. | | Re: Nero 7.5.1.1 Many companies will rewrite software for Vista after RTM (release to manufacturer). I am sure Nero will do the same. regards Robert "Donald L McDaniel" <orthocross@wildblue.invalid.invalid> wrote in message news:3q72j296mn87cg6tvreqlvvu62ja1mf4md@4ax.com... > On Sat, 14 Oct 2006 09:09:02 -0700, ulfire > <ulfire@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > >>Tried it with 32 bit and 64 bit.RC1 wouldn't accept it.Maybe the CD >>version >>does work as someone said.Unfortunately I bought the download version of >>Nero,so that's no use to me.I only installed RC1 because I had seen in a >>forum that nero and some of my other programs worked with Vista.BTW ,none >>of >>them do (not properly anyway)Anyway I find RC1 very pretty and very slow >>.My >>internet connection is also slower with RC1. >>I think I'll wait till RC2000 comes out it may work by then,I certainly >>won't consider buying it on this evidence >> >>"Brian Wescombe" wrote: >> >>> Has anyone tried the new Nero update with RC1 yet? >>> >>> >>> > RC2 has already been released.
