Any help? Rather than booting from the cd, I suggest that you install Acronis and start it from within your OS. It will shut down and lock the drives then clone upon restart |

Any help? Do you have a space on a partition or drive which is large enough to take a backup? The Dell recovery partition should not be used and is too small anyway.. -- Mike Hall - MVP How to construct a good post.. http://dts-l.com/goodpost.htm How to use the Microsoft Product Support Newsgroups.. http://support.microsoft.com/default...help&style=toc Mike's Window - My Blog.. http://msmvps.com/blogs/mikehall/default.aspx |

I have never had it fail when I've installed it. Just be sure to follow the instructions well. Whatever you do, be sure to disconnect the cloned drive after the cloning process is complete Just test the clone by putting it in place of your original drive then set it aside once you've confirmed it's good |

Completely different situation and no need to disconnect. DDW -- Reply via this group No email please |
