| vista home premium 32bit | Please help vista wont boot i get a message saying windows failed to start a recent hardware or software change might be the cause to fix problem insert vista disc ive tried to fix this with the repair options but when you get to the system recovery or start up repair i noticed that in the box which shows you your os it says mircosoft vista but under where it says partition theres nothing it said 0mb it looks like it is lost some how if you go into the bios the hd shows up and the size ,when i try to load my vista home premium 32 bit error file reads FILE:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WINLOAD.EXE STATUS 0xc000000e please please please help (thanks) |

| vista home premium 32bit | Re: Please help vista wont boot thanks for your reply ive tried your link but i have a problem the first bit of the instructions work boot.exe/fixmbr the next bit wont i put D:\boot\bootsect.exe/nt60 all/force enter it said not supported please can you help because im no expert just a novice trying to get my vista to work again,if i boot up now i get this message\file\bcd status 0xc000000f thanks |

| vista home premium 32bit | Re: Please help vista wont boot i have now getting this command to work d: \boot\bootsect.exe /nt60 all /force it come up with a number but now the next bit wont work if i put del c:\boot\bcd it says could not find and if i carry on to the next command after i type this in bcdedit /creatstore c: \boot\bcd.temp the hole thing freezes crashed please please help any ideas because it got my head done in thanks |

Boot your machine with it, save all your data to an external drive and then do a complete disk format and re-install. I think, from the sound of it, that will be quicker in the long run. -- Asking a question? | vista home premium 32bit | Re: Please help vista wont boot thanks very much for your reply i used the live cd and saved all my stuff,but now i have another problem i put a fresh install in ,when it was running it needed 40 updates ,updates where set to automatic after getting the updates the pc wont boot once again it said mbr missing ,ive now installed it again but this time ive switched the updates off,how can i sort this problem out as i will need the updates to keep my pc upto date (thanks) |
