deleting hibernation file

deleting hibernation file


hi i have turned off hibernation as i never use it but i am unable to
delete the file is it possible to delete it ive tried the help files
but no answer

Have you tried signing on as administrator in safe mode and trying?

Run cmd as Administrator.
Type:
powercfg -h off

The hibernation file can now also be removed via disk cleanup.

ok tried the cmd prompt but said i dont have permision in 32 or 64 bit
vista
i am admin in both

allowed me to delete the file via disk clean up in both 32 an 64

will try the safe mode and let you know

ok cmd worked after findinding the cmd file and right clicking on it and
selecting run as admin
