Can't drag and drop in Windows Explorer

Hi, I recently changed my shortcut to open all of the folders on the C Drive
when I open Windows explorer. It works fine, but when I open one of the
folders I cannot drag and file out of it and put it in another folder. It's
almost like the "folders view" doesnt' exist. In the old XP you had the
folders on the right side and all of the folders in C: on the left. You
could drag a file over and drop it in an existing folder, but now it just
disappears when I open a folder on the right. There's no place to put it.
Thanks

On the bottom left of the left pane it says Folders and is highlighted in
blue, with a small UP arrow across from the word Folders

Re: Can't drag and drop in Windows Explorer

Hi and thanks, but there is nothing like you described anywhere on the bottom
of my screen. Could this have something to do with the fact that I cannot
read the whole screen even when I clicked your reply in the newsgroup window?
I had to scroll over just a little to read the rest of "notify me of replies"
, e.g. But when I'm in Windows Explorer there are no scroll bars on the
bottom or right in any case and there certainly are no options like you
described. Further thoughts?

Re: Can't drag and drop in Windows Explorer

Hi, I just figured it out by searching around.....you click on the "organize"
tab, then "Layout" and then click on the "Navigation Pane" that opens the
folders in the left hand pane and you can commence dragging and dropping.
Thanks for your reply.

Re: Can't drag and drop in Windows Explorer

The only thing I can guess might be happening is your resolution is set too
high for your video, and that you would then be trying to use 'full screen'
for explorer, rather than in a window.
