Vista - RC1 by mail - when can one expect it?

I received notification from MS that my RC1 DVD will be in the mail
shortly - I had earlier enrolled in the Beta test that entitles one to the
free RC1 DVD when released.

Has anybody received their RC1 DVD as yet? Seems like quite a while ago that
I received that MS notification! Looking forward to trying out this version!

Have been visiting the mailbox every day with the same results. MS was fast
with the first disks of beta2 and expected the same now. Obviously, wrong.
What is so hard to understand, is the time delay between the RC1 download
and the expected RC1 disks.

Second, if the RTM is indeed ready for November, one would expect that MS
would want some more input prior to that date, in time to make changes. My
guess is they do not really care about the CPP, other than to promote
interest in the product. Hope I am wrong, as there are many of us who have
willingly spent hours working on all the recent betas made availbale to us.

You can download either the RC1-5600 or RC1-5728. I did not wait for the
disc. I downloaded RC1-5600 and RC1-5728 as soon as it was available.

I have earthlink on a direcway satellite and was never able to download any
of the CPPs, due to "error"in the system. Part of the problem was they limit
daily downloads so that a 3 gig does not even get started. It would be nice
to have a satellite system that would allow more throughput and did not cost
a fortune.

The downside of living in the country. (but the scenery is nice)
