| Guest | Re: Spyware http://www.superantispyware.com/ I have the free home edition on XP and Vista - no problems with any of the builds. It seems to help if you turn off UAC and AV when installing. Right click on .exe file and run as administrator. JMO "duker" <saskel@sasktel.net> wrote in message news:1B0BD2A0-FEC4-4933-BA56-2208C537932C@microsoft.com... Duker Windows defender is good, as it was the old antispyware that MS bought last year. Ad-aware finds every cookie and entries that Defender misses, btw. Lastly, PC cillin suite 14 for vista also scans adware cookies. |

| Guest | RE: Spyware Adware works OK with Vista RC 2. I been using it since RC 2 came out and it finds lots of spyware. Why Defender does not is a mistery? Microsoft missed the boat with Defender and the reason why Zone Alarm is so popular. I want to be able to control my PC sending information as well as recieving it. I am a big boy now! I am able to make my own decisions I live in a free country (UK) and I also think that freedom should remain. I fought for this country in the military and is was not for some money crazy company to spy on me. The amount of info sent without your permission and 'spam emails' emulating because of it scares me. I don't want companies scanning my PC for old or non-updated programs then spamming me with " We have a special update to our program which you can purchase for $XXX. -- jannerhank "duker" wrote: > I havent found any spyware-adware that wiil work with Vista. | Guest | Re: Spyware You said you are getting lots of spyware... just out of curiosity, have you turned UAC off? I noticed that when you turn UAC off, it also turns IE7 Protected Mode off. As a result I got some spyware. When I turned UAC and PM back on I noticed little, if any, spyware. Just an observation...
