| Vista Home Edition 32bit | Opening Word Documents in Works 8.5 I am trying to open Word documents in Works 8.5. When I first had difficuties I installed the Works Translator for Office Formats off the Microsoft site. I then can open them successfully when I have the specific application open e.g. Word Processing. When I try to open a document from Windows Explorer I get the same error I had before, that the file may be corrupted etc. My assumption was that it was a Works patch and I am wondering if this is how it is supposed to work. I would assume that Works would be smart enough to send a .doc file to the Word Processing application after installing the Translator. Has anyone had this experience? Am I stuck or can it be corrected? Thanks in advance, George |

| Vista Home Edition 32bit | Re: Opening Word Documents in Works 8.5 I don't think that is the problem. The documents all date for 1999 to 2005. Thanks George |
