Does it have an nVidia video card? I had to go back to using the XP drivers for my 5200 as the nVidia Vista ones caused the machine to hang upon waking. Could give that a go. | | Re: Cannot resume from sleep mode I have the same problem. I have a dell e1705. Whenever I resume from sleep, everything seems to come back but the display, and I have to use the power button to shut it down. Then it complains that it didn't start properly when I start it back up. I have an ATI x1400 video card which I am using the built in vista drivers for (ATI's drivers seemed to pop up the display settings after every log in). Sleep/hibernate did work for me in one of the previous builds, beta 2 I think. | | Re: Cannot resume from sleep mode I had a problem like this in earlier builds. Seat would look like it was coming back from sleep and go into a black screen. What I would do, and I'm not suggesting it will work for you, but you can give it a shot if you like, was hit Ctrl-Alt-Del which would bring up the Windows Security screen from which I could properly shut down the box. I know that doesn't fix your problem, but if it works it'll save you from having to hit the Big Red Button to restart the box. You should try to press the button to adjust brightness on your display increase/decrese it helped me. |
