Lost files

Hi

I have a Toshiba laptop running Vista.

Recently an entire directory was wiped out. Tried recycle bin and some
online tools
to retrieve lost files (they have .pdf and .doc extensions). Nothing
worked.

Can anyone please suggest my options other than losing the files
forever?

Thanks

How was this folder "wiped out"?

Where was this folder?

Did you drag and drop the directory under another directory? Try a
search of one of the files if you remember the exact name.

Slugs from a 38. It was horrible. Blood all over the place. No survivors.

On the computer. Any other brilliant questions?

Well you jerk, if the folder was on a NETWORK drive then it won't be in any
recycle bin. For example. Any other moronic comments?
