Vista - Vista Home Premium All shortcuts stopped working

I get a red X and it says "application not working" when I try and use any of my shortcuts ( Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

Do your shortcuts look the same as before, they just don't work ?

Is this just the shortcuts on your desktop, or is it the same when you try a program from it's entry under All Programs in the start menu?

Do the programs all run fine from their .exe files ?

on each item and choose "Send to desktop (Create Shortcut)". This will

If the programs still don't work, try doubling clicking one of those
program files right in the directory where you find it. For example,
double click on Excel.exe. If Excel still does not start, you have a
