| Newbie | No Sound Through Headphone Jack I have a dell inspiron 9300 P4/not core duo or higher. recently installed vista ultimate. audio is built in/simtel (older) when i'm playing sound, and plug in a set of headphones, the internal speakers turn off but I cannot hear anything thru the headphones. |

Hi batman3n1 Go to Sounds in control panel and look threw the options and properties. You might have the option to use jacks as separate inputs. | |||||||||||||||

Hmm, I don't know then, I know in having Realtek, you can change all those options for separating audio jacks in realteks options. I really don't know what else to try.  | |||||||||||||||
