Driver problems with windows vista RC1

In have installed vista RC1 and it has turned my c drive/harddrive into f
drive and i no longer have my dvd rom drives which were d and e so i cannot
load anything on my computyer as ther is no activity when i put a cd in my
drive.

I have looked in device manager and both dvd rom drives have corrupt drivers
and will not install any other drivers as it has the most upto date drivers
it can find, and it keeps saying this Windows cannot load the device driver
for this hardware.

The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
if anyone can help it would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

RE: Driver problems with windows vista RC1

You should attempt to rollback your driver to the standard driver that came
with vista. In device manager select your device rgihtclick and hit rollback
driver. or check your manufacturer's website.
