| | Vista Home showing previous file versions Hopefully someone can help. For some reason, spontaneously, my version of Vista Home Premium has started to display previous versions of files: the files with identical names but different time/date stamps appear in the same directory as each other and are accessible. This seems to be happening with pdf files, Office files, notepad files, Photoshop files and others. The previous file versions are cluttering the directories and confusing file selection. I can't find a way to turn this "feature" off. I haven't as far as I am aware allowed new software/drivers to be loaded. Gareth. |

| | Re: Vista Home showing previous file versions Are you viewing hidden files???? Check here that both are selected:- Start - Settings - control panel - folder options - viw tab - "Hidden files and folders" - "Do not showhidden files and folders" and "Hide protected operating system files" "Gareth" <hotmail.com@xxxxxx_nospam.com> wrote in message news:4961e6e9$0$27143$fa0fcedb@xxxxxx Quote: > Hopefully someone can help. > > For some reason, spontaneously, my version of Vista Home Premium has > started to display previous versions of files: the files with identical > names but different time/date stamps appear in the same directory as each > other and are accessible. The files are definitely earlier versions of the same file. If I save a file in Acrobat or Word whilst viewing the file manager window I can see the new file (with the same filename) being added to the bottom of the directory list. Gareth. |
