multi-disc installation won't read 2nd disc

I am having the same issue as Bob. just did a clean install of XP, installed about 15 programs just fine. Then when I try to do multi-disc installation games, it won't recognize the 2nd disc. This has happened with two games so far. I'm not going to try any more of these things because there's no way that both games could have a defective or dirty 2nd disc. I'm at a loss, but there's gotta be something else that's responsible for the error.

Any help would be great!

The games, by the way, are Call of Duty 2 and Battlefield 2 (older games, but both have worked on this same machine with same specs and same exact hardware).

Who is Bob?
Posted and mailed

The "forum" that you are posting in leaches off the Microsoft News servers
in order to make it look far busier than it really is. Everyone who uses the
MS News servers sees your post on it's own - we have NO IDEA what you are
talking about and to whom you are talking.

This is not your fault - the fault lies with the forum owners who do not
explain to members that their posts end up on global Usenet newsgroups.
If you MUST continue to post in this "forum" then please at least quote the
post you are replying to, and do NOT change the subject line.

You would be far better off however, using a news reader and subscribing to
these news groups direct.
