Do you have additional account except the built-in Administrator?
If yes, the built-in Admin should not appear on logon screen, I think.

Did you look through the group policy editor for an option to do this? I
don't know if that's there, but it might be.
gpedit.msc, run as administrator.

Ok, sorry that didn't pan out. I don't know of any other way to hide it.

Try Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP, concrete Tweak UI
(http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...rtoySetup.exe).
Maybe it does work on Vista... If yes, you can hide picture of anyone user
from welcome screen.

Re: how hide adminitrator account on logon page, without disable i

I am reading lately the current XP powertoys have compatibility issues with
Vista when you try to uninstall them.

Where is the Administrator account and how do I log into it?
By default, the Administrator account in Windows Vista does not require a
password, its blank. The Administrator is only accessible through Safe Mode
also. You can enable the Administrator account after installation if you did
an upgrade from Windows XP. Click Start > right click Computer > click
Manage > expand Local Users and Groups > select Users > right click the
Administrator account > click Set Password. After which, you can try logging
in.
