Aero scrollbars

I've noticed that there is an extra gray "stripe" on all scrollbars.
It's on the left side of the scrollbar area. It certainly looks nice,
but I'm curious if it has any function. Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks,
Jeremy

I stand corrected - on further inspection, the scrollbars only have this
extra "stripe" in Mozilla-based applications (Firefox and Thunderbird).

Is this a bug in Mozilla?

Re: Aero scrollbars

Hello,

This sounds like a bug in the Mozilla code; I don't think the extra stripe
does anything special.

Re: Aero scrollbars

Tonight, when I go to my Firefox, it shows the 'updated' screen and it
shakes and bounces a little bit. I also lost my bookmarks that were there.
Argh. That's my fault I guess for testing Firefox 2 RC1, although I opened
Firefox 1.5 from my XP partition through Vista, and it did the same thing,
so I don't know what is going on.
