access denied

Go to my userid & click on documents. Then click on my pictures & get access
denied. What am I missing? TIA

userid\documents\pictures is not a folder it is a 'junction point' your
pictures are located in
userid\pictures

Junction points area there for legacy programs to get them to the correct
place.
Turn off showing system and hidden files and you won't be bothered with
seeing them.

proper folder....

It's tough trying to figure out a posters 'My Pictures' vs the phrase my
'Pictures'. In this case I went with the error he was having.
Yes you can have an ordinary folder c:\users\userid\documents\pictures but
you would probably (unless you worked hard at getting rid of it) the system
folder c\users\userid\Pictures which is generally where the system will
think you should be storing pictures.

bad typing: should have said userid\documents\my pictures is not a folder it
is a 'junction point'
