CD Drive "Eject" menu option ... but no "Close" option ...

Why is there only "Eject" on the "CD Drive" option list but no "Close" option
??

I'm aware of the diffrenet 3Rd party software that can do it ... but ...

Is the "Eject"/Open CD/DVD so important and the "Close" CD/DVD is not???

Hello BoazBoaz,

Have you tried clicking on it again to see if it will close it for you?

Re: I didn't ask...

I didn't ask how to "solve" this issue but -why- does only the open command
is given by Microsoft.

Re: I didn't ask...

And why is there an Eject in the first place? you still need to physically
insert a cd/dvd in the first place, and as such you might as well make use
of your fingers to close/open

Do NOT change the subject when you post to a thread. It can screw
things up.

Re: I didn't ask...

Re: I didn't ask...

Got me? I suppose it's just a matter of semantics. It would be better as Open/Close instead though.

I have always wondered that, especially since I can press the front
button to open the drawer but need to physically push the tray in to
get it to retract. Fortunetly, most times I am using the CD it is with
an app that supports both Open & Close functionality.

Re: I didn't ask...

Sane reason why you need to push the AC button on the computer to open it with your
finger. Of course any finger will do
