| | Can receive but not send email from Windows Mail I set up a Windows Mail account using my Comcast email servers. I can receive but not send email. Get error 10060. I am home now but would like to send and receive Comcast email from hotels while traveling. Anyway to do this (other than thru their website?) |

| | Re: Can receive but not send email from Windows Mail There are two changes that Comcast made to send mail: Port 25 must be changed to 587 and you must check "My server requires authentication." Open Windows Mail click tools Accounts "Your mail service" Properties Under servers tab check "My server requires authentication." Under advanced tab change "Outgoing mail (smtp)" from 25 to 587.
