Two short questions

Hello from Spain, I've been testing Vista RC1 buid 5600 for just 4-5 hours.
Here are my first questions:

1.- Is the any way to disable the navigation pane at the left side of each
folder view?
2.- In case I decide to keep Vista, my evaluation copy will expire in 30
days and I cannot activate it (Internet works fine, but not to the Microsoft
activation site). What will happen after these 30 days? Is there a way I can
buy or get a legal copy of Vista? I don't want to go back to the old XP now!
Please! :-(
Thanks in advance

Regards.
Fearless.
