| | Why does a fresh Vista installation create a partition at LBA 2048 ? Hi, XP created partitions that were aligned by cylinders, or in the case of the first cylinder, it would skip the mbr track. I just did a vista install and it decided to create the partition at LBA 2048. Not cylinder aligned anymore, and it skipped 2048 sectors. Any idea why? Any links to information about this? Thanks, Alan |
