thx for this thread it helped me avoiding to blame in front of a mac and a unix freak.

i have vista 64 business + office 2007
i have the SAME ERROR:
'The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another.'

I used the commandline net use and got it working
Now it evens work with the wizard. !!!!! it did not before

What parameters did you use for the net use command?

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

seems to have solved the problem for me. I have no idea why this 1 year old
update is not in SP1.

I was going to mention that update, but I assumed that it was included with
SP1.
