Vista Windows Update Jan 27th Causes Re-Activation of Windows

Hello

Vista Ultimate downloaded and installed 2 updates yesterday including Office
Live Add-In.

This morning when I booted my PC I got "Your copy of Windows has been
activated successfully" then "You may be the victim of counterfeit software.
Windows Dreamscene etc.."

What's all that about? Any ideas?

I have update a number of system with this and the other updates such as the
IE 8 RC1 etc, and none of my Vista systems reactivated.
This is across x86 and x64 systems running Home Premium and Ultimate
editions with SP1.
Your problem may not be related to the updates.

Thanks Mike

However, nothing new has been installed on this PC recently, no downloads or
other infections and my PC is 100% genuine Microsoft software. The only
difference is the Microsoft updates.
