| Guest | Windows could not search for new updates Windows Update fails.....Getting the above with error code 8024400A - an error I haven't seen since XP SP1 days. | Guest | Re: Windows could not search for new updates That's interesting, all of a sudden now I'm getting this error also trying to use the Vista Windows update. It was fine yesterday  . Tried touse System Restore for a revert to an earlier date, and THAT cannot install-due to some 'unspecified error' ..
