Accessing documents & settings

Running Vista 64 bit. I have UAC turned off, still can't get into Docs
& settings. How can I get into these files & is there ANY WAY to just
turn all this ACCESS DENIED "security" OFF? I can't even get into the
bloody directory when I'm running the PC on the XP install on another HDD!

TIA

Dan

Re: Accessing documents & settings

Documents and Settings is *not* a real folder. It is a junction or symlink,
only there for legacy reasons. "Users" replaces the old Documents and
Settings folder in Vista.

RE: Accessing documents & settings

Dan,

I had this same problem and I had to click on the security tab in the error
mesage. You can then turn off the security for everyone. this worked for me.
