| | Windows Event Log service crashes, and I can't get the hotfix! Hello folks Running Windows Vista Home Prem. x64. Occasionally the Windows Event Log service will crash (and cascade crash other services that write to the event log) and after some power googling I found this seemingly relevant KB article from MS: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/952664 However I try to download and install the fix but Vista says "This Update Does Not Apply to Your Computer" And since I "only' have an OEM Vista version I can't create a support case... Anyone have any suggestions? SS |
