Vista - Playing AVI files

im trying to watch some avi files on vista rc1, they are files i use to use
in XP all the time, But when i open them in WMP 11, it only plays sound.
Please help

You probably need either the DivX or XviD codecs, they're the two most
common these days.

Download the k-lite codec pack from

http://www.codecpackguide.com/klcodec.htm

and install it. I think the default options are ok if memory serves me
correct.

Or ffdshow (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm).
That's my favourite one.
