Problems with Windows Media Player 11 in Vista x32 SP1...

I need some suggestions...

For a couple of weeks now, I noticed that in WM11 for Windows Vista, I
cannot get the radio station streams to play.

Example:

<Start --> WM11 | Media Guide | Internet Radio | New Age | Show All |
Whisperings: Solo Piano | <Click on the word --> "Play".

Normally, the stream would start at this stage. It no longer does so.

My first thought was to reinstall WM11. However, I cannot find it
anywhere. The MS site refers to the XP version and WM11 doesn't appear
in the Control Panel | Programs & Features section.

My system: Windows Business x32 SP1 & IE 8 RC1

Any suggestions?

I'm using Media Player 11.0.6001.7000 under 64 bit Vista Ultimate. Plays
your station just fine.

IE8 RC1.

Unsupported beta version. Don't expect it - or anything else - to
operate properly.

AND don't post questions here from now on.

Post them to:

WTF? Who are you to dictate who posts here? The OP can post here all he/she
wants. Vista Business is not Win7.

I must've had a HUGE brain cramp... somehow IE8 translated to W7!

My apologies to the OP.

Thanks for your enlightened and professional response. It's a WMP11
question not Windows 7 (can you read?). Kill filtered... you are
history!

Do other streams work?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940029
may be the fix you're looking for.

Thanks for the info. However, the problem I have is different. WMP11
does NOT display any error messages. Clicking on "play" does nothing
as if it was not recognized. I am also getting script errors in WMP11
which I suspect is tied to this issue.

On the other hand, WMP11 does play audio and video files which are on
my system (.wma, .mp3, etc.) or in on-line streams on the WMP11 Media
Guide page.

Question --> Is there a way to re-install WMP11 for Vista without
having to reload the O/S?
