    Additional Sata connections

My present motherboard has 2 internal SATA connections which I use for my C
and D drives, I wish to add anther one for a new DVD player,
    Question:
Can this be accomplished by installing a special PCI card in a slot of my
    MB?
    What make do you recommend?

You can install a sata card.
Which one you use depends on what functionality you want, eg raid
Ensure the card you select supports sata 2 or 3
