| Guest | HP Pavillion: Cannot Install RC1 I am trying to install RC1 (from the MS CD) on an HP Pavilion dv5120us Notebook PC. During the compatibility check, installation stops and the dialog instructs me to go to "Programs" and uninstall "HP ProtectTools Security Manager." The problem is this program does not exist when surveying the programs under Start/All Programs or under A/R P. I find no reference to this program in the User Guide or on HP's website. Has anyone else encountered such a problem? -- THIS EMAIL ACCOUNT IS NOT MONITORED. SENDING EMAIL TO THIS ACCOUNT IS A USELESS ENDEAVOR. |
