| | Re: RC2 antivirus?? Yes, with a qualification. When I installed Avast on RC2, I did not schedule a scan on reboot. Avast appeared to have installed, both tray icons active, but Security Center reported no Anti-Virus present. When I hovered over the icon, Avast reported no providers. I then ran the program from the start menu and found resident protection disabled. I was unable to move the slider bar to set it to standard. Avast simply returned an error message (don't remember the details). I uninstalled Avast and installed AVG which did work but I didn't like it so I unistalled it and re-installed Avast, but scheduling an initial boot scan. Now working perfectly.
