Is it normal for two Desktop.ini files to be on the Desktop?

I know these files are normally hidden, but I was just wondering if it
is normal for 2 to be on the desktop at once.

The first one has
--\shell32.dll, -21799 only

The second has
--------\shell32.dll, 21769
------\imageres.dll,-183

Thanks,
Clark

Hello Clark,

When you unhide the protected operating system files, then this is normal. One is for the "C:\Users\(user name)\Desktop" folder, and the other is for the "C:\Users\Public\Desktop" folder.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
