| | Documents folder keeps reappearing on desktop When I got my laptop just last week, I deleted the "Links" file and apparently my "Documents" went with it too. I somehow got both back, but now once in a while a new "Documents" folder pops up on my desktop. I keep deleting it, but it just keeps coming back. I am getting super annoyed, so if anyone could help, I'd appreciate it. -- amerrss ------------------------------------------------------------------------ amerrss's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/amerrss.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/1123554.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Documents folder keeps reappearing on desktop Hello Amerrss, Double check using METHOD THREE in the tutorial below to make sure that the "Documents" folder (Personal in registry) has the default location set for it. It sounds like it may currently be located in the "C:\Users\(users name)\Dekstop" or "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop" folder instead. Personal User Folder - Restore Missing Folder Hope this helps, Shawn When I got my laptop just last week, I deleted the "Links" file and apparently my "Documents" went with it too.
